Antique Pistols and Drapery Hardware Before (above) & After (below)
When I came to this Office the owner had already installed these Antique Drapery Rods and Rings at the window and wanted to use them where they were. However, they did not extend across the entire window. I showed him my idea to use the rods and what could be done, which he liked. However, he did not want your typical ready-made drapery hold back. So I asked him what he had around the place that we could use? He called his assistant and asked her to bring up 2 antique pistols. And I said OK, we can do this. So this is what we did:
I ordered Scalloped Top Pleated Draperies with a specific number of pleats to match the number of rings we had on the rod.
Plus one large pleat space to the return end to cover the rest of the window and installed a hidden holder for that pleat and a return to the wall
Then Custom Holders were made to attach the Antique Pistols to. So as not to De-Value the Pistols, they were attached with a black wire. Like a Barbed Wire without the Barbs.
I did have to move the rod on the right window to match the placement of the rod on the left. As you can see the rod on the left has its finial point up against the wall.
